Casablanca to Sahara 8 Days deatils:
Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca and Rabat
Upon your arrival at Casablanca Port/airport, you start your Casablanca to Sahara 8 Days by a warmly welcome and drive to Casablanca to visit one of the best attractions in the City, Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Africa, with the unique privilege of being open to non-Muslims. From there, we continue our journey to Morocco’s capital city, Rabat, where you will spend your first night. Bed and breakfast.
Day 2: Exploring Rabat and Journey to Chefchaouen
After your breakfast at the Riad, our day begins with an exploration of Rabat’s cultural gems. We visit the magnificent Mausoleum of Mohammed V, adorned with stained glass and white marble, followed by the iconic Hassan Tower and the historic Oudaïa Kasbah. Get your lunch then to Chefchaouen, renowned for its charming blue-hued houses. Wander through narrow alleys, discover local souks, and immerse yourself in the unique ambiance of Chefchaouen. Night in a Riad with breakfast.
Day 3: Chefchaouen to Fes
Breakfast in the Riad beofre heading to Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities. En route, we traverse diverse landscapes to the archaeological site of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring Roman ruins adorned with intricate mosaics. Continuing to Meknes, chosen as the capital by Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 17th century, we explore key attractions such as Bab Mansour gate, Place El-Hedim. Then to Fes where your night will be in a Riad with bed and breakfas.
Day 4: Guided tour of Fes
Breakfast in the Riad and start your explorative day of Fes with a local guide. Highlights include the Karouin Mosque, the leather tanneries, the royale palace gate. We will make sure that you will visit the must importante and historical sites. Night is the same riad with bed and breakfast.
Day 5: Fes to Merzouga
Departure from your riad on a journey to the Sahara Desert. Along the way, we pass through the scenic national park of Ifran, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Enjoy breathtaking views and capture memorable photos. Continue through Azrou Forest to witness Barbary Apes in the cedar forest. After lunch in Midelt, our route takes us through the stunning Ziz gorges and the panoramic views of Ziz valley. Arrive at the captivating Erg Chebbi Dunes, where you’ll experience a camel ride to enjoy the sunset before spending the night in a desert camp. Dinner and breakfast.
Day 6: Merzouga to Todra Gorges and Dades Valley
Witness the awe-inspiring sunrise in the Sahara if you wake up early. After a serene camel ride back from the dunes, we head towards Todra Gorges, renowned for rock climbing and Morocco’s highest and narrowest gorges. Lunch will be on the way and contiue late afternoon to Dades valley. Night in a Hotel with dinner and breakfast.
Day 7: Dades Valley to Ait Ben Haddou and Marrakech
Breakfast in the horel then to the unique rock formations known as Monky Towes. We then journey along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” to reach the Roses Valley, especially vibrant during the blooming season of April and May. Passing through Ouarzazate, we explore the UNESCO-listed Ksar Ait Ben Haddou on a walking tour. Lunch is enjoyed at one of the terraces before we cross the High Atlas mountain range via the Tizi N Tichka pass to reach Marrakech. Check-in to a Riad for the night. Dinner and Breakfast
Day 8: Guided Tour of Marrakech
After breakfast in the riad , you can start exploring Marrakech ” the red city of Morocco”. Your guide will ensure that you see the most important places of historical and cultural interest, including the Saadian tombs; the Palace of El Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Lunch at a restaurant near the square, then in the afternoon visit the Koutoubia tower then drive to Casablanca.
