6 Days Tangier to Marrakech Itinerary : 

Day 1 

TangierChefchaouen, the blue city

    You will meet your driver/guide waiting for you in the Port/Airport with a paper with your name on it, then you will start your 6 days Tangier to Marrakech tour toward Chefchaouen wich is a Morocco popular tourist attraction and welcoming town nestled in the Rif Mountains just south of the Mediterranean coastline in northwest Morocco.

    Chefchaouen is known as “blue city” for its traditional buildings. Enjoy a walk to explore the white and blue washed walls of the medina and the markets that offer some unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a fantastic destination for photography with its wonderful views of the Rif Mountains. Overnight in a Riad in the heart of the small Medina.(B.B)

Day 2

Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes- Fes

After the breakfast in your Riad or Hotel you will start your day trip toward Volubilis (the roman ruins). Photo stops along the way befor to reach there to explore this ancient Roman town of Volubilis with a local guide (optional). You will be fascinated by its well preserved mosaics, palaces, baths and soaring arches.

Afterwards, You will drive to Meknes wich is one of the Imperial cities and once Capital of Morocco under the rule of Moulay Ismail. Meknes is a home of many Palaces & Mosques, Beautiful gates such as (Bab Mansour). The old city of Meknes is surrounded by thick ramparts. Lunsh will be there and drive to Fes will your seconde night will be in a Riad with (B.B).

Day 3

Fes – Sighseeing and guided Tour

After breakfast in your riad , you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter,the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century.

We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region. The Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramique view over the whole Medina of Fes.In the afternoon, we will visit the new city “La ville nouvelle” for a drink (optional). Overnight accommodation in the same Riad. BB.

Day 4

Fes – IFran – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

After breakfast in your riad, you will leave Fes travelling towards Ifran, a beautiful mountains village, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” and then on to Midelt. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – where you may well sight Barbary apes.

After sometime within the forest, your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas. After Midelt town you will be travelling through the fascinating Tizi Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge. Taking in views of the High Atlas plateau. You’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia, here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Afterwards, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud.

Arrive at Merzouga on the afternon to saddle up the camels and cross the ocean of the dunes. You will then get an opportunity to climb the dunes after sunset and, then, view the bright stars above as you fall asleep in your nomad camp between the famous dunes.(DBB)

Day 5

Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge.

Your camelman will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. You’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. Enroute you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast in the riad, you’ll leave for Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco.

After lunch around the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in a Hotel. (BDB)

Day 6

Dades Gorge – Roses Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After your breakfast at the hotel,we will start the last day in our trip driving via the thousand kasbah route, the rose vally, a visit to Skoura oisis with it’s authentic 17 century kasbah, a visit to Taourirt kasbah (the former residence of the Glaoui).

Lunch in Ourzazate, then drive to Ait Benhaddou an ancient Kasbah (fortified village) listed as UNESCO’s heritage site, and many famous movies were also filmed there. Then another 4 hours drive via the tizi ntichka pass with stops along, get to Marrakech late afternoon to drop you off in your hotel or at the Airport. the end of the 6 Days Tangier to Marrakech trip
